KIJHL Power Rankings – Week 13 (Dec.17/23)

 

The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League completed its 13th week of action for the 2023-24 regular season. The KIJHL Power Rankings highlights the top-five teams based on their performance over the past 10 games, including winning percentage.

 

Revelstoke Grizzlies
Last Week: 3
Record: 20-5-0

The Grizzlies defeated the North Okanagan Knights 4-2 in overtime and the Princeton Posse 2-1. Their power-play went 1-for-12, while their penalty-kill was perfect at 9-for-9. The Grizzlies have the league’s best PK at 92.7, going 9-for-123. The Grizzlies have the seventh best PP at 20 per cent, going 27-for-135.

 

Sicamous Eagles

Record: 23-4-1

The Eagles defeated 100 Mile House 9-2 and earned a 4-2 win over Columbia Valley. Their power-play went 6-for-11, while their penalty-kill was nearly perfect at 9-for-10. The Eagles have the third best PK at 88.3 per cent, going 16-for-137 opportunities. The Eagles have the third best PP at 23 per cent, going 41-for-178.

 

Kimberley Dynamiters

The Dynamiters defeated Fernie 5-1 and earned a 3-0 win over Golden. Their power-play went 3-for-12, while their penalty-kill was perfect at 7-for-7. The Dynamiters have the second best PK at 90.2 per cent, going 14-for-143. The Dynamiters also have the league’s best PP at 25 per cent, going 34-for-136.

The Posse have the seventh best PK at 85.4 per cent, going 20-for-137. The Posse have the eighth best PP at 18.8 per cent, going 29-for-154.

 

Castlegar Rebels

The Rebels lost their lone game last week 6-0 to Grand Forks. Their power-play went 0-for-2, while their penalty-kill went 6-for-8. The Rebels have the sixth-best PK at 85.5 per cent, going 18-for-124. The Rebels PP ranks 17th at 13.2 per cent, going 16-for-121.
