Shawn Webb
The Sicamous Eagles would like to announce we have hired Shawn Webb as our new Head Coach/GM replacing Liam McOnie who has moved up to the WHL as the assistant coach for the Kelowna Rockets.
Shawn was Liam’s minor hockey coach and has been on the bench with him helping him coach the North Okanagan Knights in 2022- 2024 season and the Sicamous Eagles during our 2024 – 2025.seson.
Shawn was also on the bench in North Oak back in 2011 to 2014 and some may remember him on the bench in Sicamous in 2003-2004 and again in 2014-2016. What is it they say…the third time is a charm.
Shawn’s obviously not new to the KIJHL, he has over 30 years experience in every capacity from minor hockey to scouting for the Evertte Silvertips in the WHL as well as 2 years with NHL Central Scouting.
Shawn is a man who loves coaching a team you just have to talk to him for five minutes to hear the passion in his voice. He is also a man who loves his family … he is only too happy to share he has a beautiful wife, Cindy, as well as two beautiful daughters and two fantastic step children. We appreciate they have all supported Shawn in his decision to pause his business to step up on our bench fulltime. Shawn has been on the bench from the beginning of the season, he purposely kept a low profile and focused on supporting Liam, Ben and the players. We are so fortunate he has agreed to step forward now and lead the team, working with Ben, ensuring consistency and continued growth for the Sicamous Eagles!

 

Assistant GM / Assistant Coach
Ben Marshall

Ben is originally from Innisfil, Ontario and has been working as an Analytics Consultant for Essential Sports Group out of Barrie, Ontario. He has provided Game Analytics for teams such as the Barrie Colts (OHL), Vienna Capitals (ICEHL) and the Saint John Sea Dogs (QMJHL).

Ben has been an Assistant Instructor at Hockey Opportunity Camps in Oakville, Ontario and at Okanagan Hockey Academy Camps in Calgary, Alberta.

Jeff is the Eagle Valley Rescue Society deputy chief  and our home game trainer.
