The news of Wayne March passing touches alot of people with sadness but then also immediately reminds them of some great memory of how Wayne did something for or with them. One of the founders of the Sicamous Eagles family. He lived at that arena and the arena lives in him. 40 years of Eagles now. Thank you Wayne for all that you’ve done.
I am happy to say that I had been having coffee with Wayne (thank you Mary) at their home over the summer and Wayne was very upbeat and happy talking hockey. One morning I told him a plan and he helped me to get started with our 1st Eagles Alumni Game which is occurring Sunday Nov 10th. Wayne suggested the Eagles Alumni Committee and I asked him to be the first to join, he was honored. I loved that the man was still having hockey meetings with me knowing he didn’t have long. I will miss the stories and discussions over coffee and snacks. Wayne will be remembered by so many.
