Former Eagle Receives BCIHL Award

Congratulations to former Sicamous Eagles goaltender Michael Lenko who was awarded the BCIHL Goaltender of the Year award and was named to the BCIHL’s 1st All-Star Team. Lenko has spent the last four seasons with the Simon Fraser University (SFU) Men’s Hockey Clan and capped off his final season with an unbeaten record in 10 starts, with 2 shutouts, posting a .945 Save % and winning the BCIHL championship.
Michael flew with the Eagles in 2015-2016 playing in 20 games posting a .912 Save %.
After the Eagles, Michael played 80 games over two seasons in the SIJHL with the English River Miners (now the Red Lake Miners) where he holds the team record for Regular Season Wins with 40 and was named the team MVP in 2016/2017 as well as a co-winner of the Lions Club Community Service award that season.
Lenko would then join the Men’s Hockey Clan at SFU where he is majoring in Political Science.
