We Remember, Please Register!
If you are registered as an organ donor, First: Thank you. This is an impossibly selfless and life-giving act. Second: please talk to your family about your decision.
If the time comes and you are on a ventilator in the ICU, your family ultimately has to confirm your decision to donate organs. Losing a family member is heart-wrenching and emotional. Making decisions in that state of mind and grief is difficult. Make a point to register and talk about it ahead of time. A conversation now will make it easier for your grieving family to honour your wishes later.
