If you were lucky enough to catch last year's seven game, six overtime's conference scrap between long-time rivals, the Revelstoke Grizzlies and your hometown Sicamous Eagles then you know the action
is going to heat up even more between the two teams in the upcoming 2008/09 season. And, it's about to get even hotter!

At their recent AGM in Fernie this past April, the league re-aligned the KIJHL into two conferences that will
see Sicamous, Revelstoke, Kamloops, Chase, Princeton and Summerland compete in the Okanagan Conference. The teams will play each other a total of six times over the 52 game schedule.
Only six points seperated the Eddie Mountain West Division winner Princeton Posse and the fourth place Chase Chiefs last season who finished out of playoff contention after losing two points on a
controversial player transaction. Throw the bitter rivalry of Revelstoke and Sicamous into the equation and fans throughout the Okanagan are in for some exciting and hard-hitting KIJHL hockey action.
"
With the realignment and more games between Okanagan based teams, our fans are going to be in for a treat this year!" says Eagles General Manager, Wayne March. March went on to explain
"that not only will this cut down on travel costs for the teams in our division, it is
going to provide our fans the opportunity to enjoy a more competitive environment because of the rivalries between these teams already".
With the recent commitments of six dynamic and exciting players, the Eagles are expecting to show thier fans more speed, scoring and toughness as they gun for another KIJHL championship.
Playoffs in the newly aligned Okanagan Division will see two best of 9 series while the Kootenay teams will play three best of 7 series.

Don't wait in getting in on what is sure to be an action-packed season for the Sicamous Eagles as they do battle with the Storm, Sting, Posse, Chiefs and Grizzlies in
the new Okanagan Division!
